Dan Leatherman, Key West Casual Weddings, I love my job!
Just a little about myself, I was born in Ohio where I graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Toledo University, was employed as a Corporate Credit Supervisor, then Comptroller of a real estate company. After many a long winter, I moved to Sarasota June, 1995 where I was a Community Association Manager for 14 condominiums. I made the move to Key West in September, 1997 for a Senior Sales Executive position. Since then, I moved back and forth from Mexico, France, England, Ft. Lauderdale, and finally resting again here in Key West for fourth time in 2005 where I worked for a non-profit organization and began officiating weddings as well as photographing them. I found this work very satisfying. So much so, that I realized if I could make a living making other people happy; and at the same time, have my cheeks ache from continuously smiling while editing their photographs — well then it wouldn't be a bad idea to create my own website and business instead of just getting referrals for weddings. I have volunteered for several organizations in the past which include the Florida Keys Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals, The Guardian ad Litem program and Helpline, a suicide prevention organization as well as helping out with The Tom Sawyer Program when I could and a member of The International Academy of Consciousness. I truly enjoy my work and would be glad to officiate, photograph or do both for you and hopefully provide you with wonderful memories that you will not soon forget. |
