If you are looking to get married in Key West, I would recommend you look no further than Dan Leatherman. I spent an endless amount of hours searching online trying to find someone to perform our wedding. I wanted to make sure that we were able to have a ceremony that was unique and personal and did not feel so manufactured.
I came across Dan's website and was immediately intrigued. I loved the flexibility he offered that allowed us to personalize our ceremony and I loved his photography. His photos were so unique and natural. I checked with my hotel and they also recommended Dan so I decided to make the call. I knew immediately upon speaking with Dan that I had made the right choice. He was professional and organized but most importantly his warm personality put me right at ease.
Not being familiar with where to have our ceremony we took Dan's suggestions and were not disappointed. Dan performed an absolutely beautiful ceremony that touched us both. He was so easy going and allowed us to have fun. Even more amazing he had our photos ready the next day! I could not have been more thrilled with them, not one bad picture in the whole bunch. He captured every moment I can't stop smiling every time we look at them. We truly enjoyed meeting and getting to know Dan. I cannot say enough good things about him. He helped us make our wedding day exactly what it was supposed to be one the best day of our lives. The whole experience was nothing less than perfect!

We were married by Dan Leatherman on the beach, and he was extremely nice, patient, funny, and fun to be around. He took into consideration what we wanted and how we would like the pictures and the ceremony to be, and accommodated our every wish.
Our pictures came out wonderful. We couldn't have asked for better shots, or a better person to share the day with than Dan. Really, we cannot say enough good things about Dan and the experience we had with him. Thanks for everything,

Dan is a very friendly person and a wonderful photographer. His services were recommended to us by a person involved in the preparation of our wedding ceremony. He is very reliable and easy to contact, he checks his email regularly and responds quickly. He is flexible in organizing the details (time and place of meeting/ceremony, locations of photo sessions). We also found out he came to see the property where we were getting married even before we arrived. Dan made us relaxed the minute we met. There was no pressure or judgment. He had excellent suggestions how to pose but forced nothing on us, left decisions to us and accepted our wishes. We are very satisfied with the pictures. They are modern and have artistic touch. Our wedding at Smathers Beach was a dream come true. Simple and sweet — just the way we wanted it! Dan was wonderful, making us feel extremely comfortable from the start and finishing it all by arranging a fairytale dinner at Latitudes immediately following our ceremony. Oh and we would be remiss if we didn't mention that he gave us this royal treatment ON HIS BIRTHDAY!!! Thanks Dan for making our special day absolutely amazing! We will never forget you! Dan planned, coordinated, orchestrated and officiated our wedding on Smather's Beach. We were more than pleased with our experience with Dan. We'd never been to Key West and relied on his expertise and suggestions and were blown-away by the results. Dan answered all of our questions, even the ones we repeated. We threw him curves but he was able to adapt and accommodate our changes. His concierge service was invaluable, as we were able to do so many things while we were there (jet-skiing, para-sailing, skydiving, snorkeling, scootering, etc). He suggested several restaurants and they were delicious. Dan is truly a craftsman and an artist. His friendly demeanor and laid-back 'can do' attitude put us at ease, after we arrived and met him two days before our wedding. His coordinated services were on-time and professionally carried out. The beach location was beautiful. The floral arrangements were fabulous and delivered on-time. The chartered trolley was perfect to move the wedding party, and the photography was impeccable. And the sunset dinner cruise was the perfect ending to a most wonderful day. We couldn't have been more pleased. Our wedding was beautiful, and we have Dan to thank for it. Obra & Shebra Hackett |
